At The Cooperating Community Programs (The CCP) our Direct Support Professionals (DSP's) are a huge asset to our company. Our DSP's are responsible for working directly with our consumers and helping them through a variety of responsibilities. Some of these responsibilities include:

• Documenting progress on desired outcomes and goals
• Ensuring the safety of the consumers
• Obtain knowledge of the consumers; their likes & dislikes, behaviors & diagnosis.
• Therapeutic interventions
• Assisting the consumers in daily life

The Direct Support Professional is a great position for the “people person”, someone who exhibits patience and understanding. This is a great position for people with knowledge or interest in medical or human service fields. DSP's often develop close relationships with the consumers and participate in many activities with them including trips to movies, the zoo, or other outings.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer one year experience and basic computer word processing skills.
